Path Home: Local Non-Profit Successfully Empowering Families from Homelessness

We recently met with Ali Duncan, Development Director at Path Home, a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families in their journey out of homelessness. Path Home provides essential resources to help parents and children achieve stable housing, offering emergency shelter and a path to long-term housing stability. Through programs designed to address the unique needs of each family, they create a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes healing, community, and self-sufficiency. 

One of Path Home’s standout initiatives is the Family Village shelter, which integrates trauma-informed design to foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere. This thoughtfully designed space allows families to feel a sense of normalcy and security during challenging times. Path Home’s holistic approach includes connecting families with resources for housing, employment, and emotional support, building a foundation for future success.

Path Home has a remarkable 87% success rate in helping families out of crisis and into long-term stable housing.
